A little bit about me
Prior to birth work, I earned my bachelor’s of arts in Sociology at The University of San Diego and have spent my time working as a teacher and most recently as a case manager in the foster care system. While I have always felt passionate about education and advocacy, I have also been drawn to maternal and infant care for as long as I can remember. And starting my journey as a birth worker seemed like the perfect next step in combining these passions. After being born through IVF, I grew up learning about fertility journeys and the many different ways people become parents. This has given me a deep appreciation for the highs, lows and everything in between that shapes the path to parenthood, which is an understanding I now carry into the families I serve.
Since August 2024, I have had the privilege of working as a doula in the Hearts & Hands program at University of California San Diego (UCSD) health systems. I have supported families through a wide range of experiences and birth plans from unmedicated births, medicated births, vaginal births, c-sections, and VBACS. My goal is to meet each family where they are at and help support them in choosing and meeting their goals for pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. I am here to support your wishes by helping you make informed decisions and offering emotional, mental, and physical comfort measures and care, and being your advocate.
Outside of birth work, I love working out, connecting with nature, heading to the beach, and spending time with my family and friends. I love an adventure and building deep connections! I hope to be a friend, comfort, and safe space for you and your family.
